Unclik is designed with your privacy as the top priority. We believe your photos are personal and should remain on your device. This privacy policy explains how Unclik handles your data and protects your privacy.
🔒 Key Privacy Promise
Your photos never leave your device. All photo analysis and duplicate detection happens locally on your iOS device. We never upload, view, or access your personal photos.
What We DON'T Collect
Unclik is built to protect your privacy. Here's what we absolutely do NOT collect:
- Your photos: We never access, view, upload, or store your photos
- Photo content: We don't analyze what's in your photos (faces, objects, locations)
- Photo metadata: We don't collect EXIF data, location information, or timestamps
- Personal information: No names, email addresses, or contact information
- Device identifiers: No device IDs, advertising IDs, or tracking identifiers
- Browsing or usage patterns: No tracking of which photos you view or delete
How Unclik Protects Your Privacy
Unclik uses advanced on-device technology to ensure your privacy:
Local Processing
All photo analysis happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning frameworks.
No Network Access
Unclik doesn't require internet access for core functionality. Your photos stay completely offline.
Secure Photo Access
We only access photos through Apple's secure PhotoKit framework with your explicit permission.
Immediate Deletion
When you delete photos, they're immediately removed from your device. We don't store copies anywhere.
Anonymous Analytics (Optional)
To improve Unclik, we may collect very limited, anonymous usage data through Apple's App Store Connect:
- App launch and crash data
- General performance metrics
- iOS version and device type (anonymized)
- App feature usage (which screens are used most)
This data is:
- Completely anonymous - not linked to you personally
- Collected only through Apple's systems
- Used solely to improve app performance and user experience
- Can be disabled in your iOS privacy settings
App Permissions
Unclik requires minimal permissions to function:
Photos Access
Why we need it: To analyze your photos for duplicates and allow you to delete unwanted images.
How we use it: Only for local analysis and deletion. No photos are uploaded or stored outside your device.
Data Security
Since Unclik doesn't collect or store your personal data, there's minimal security risk. However, we still maintain security best practices:
- All processing happens within iOS's secure sandbox environment
- We use Apple's secure frameworks for all photo access
- The app is regularly updated to address any security issues
- No user data is transmitted over networks
Your Privacy Rights
Since Unclik doesn't collect personal data, you maintain complete control:
- Control: You decide which photos to analyze and delete
- Deletion: All app data is removed when you delete the app
- Portability: Your photos remain in your iOS Photos app
- Access: You can review all app permissions in iOS Settings
Children's Privacy
Unclik is safe for users of all ages since it doesn't collect personal information. The app is designed to work entirely on-device with no data transmission or online features that could pose privacy risks to children.
